So Russia was planning to have Georgia attack the Russian separatist region of South Ossetia? Does that mean that Russia told Saakashvili (sp?) to attack the region to give Russia an excuse to invade? That doesn't make sense to me.
The fact is, Georgia tried to foolishly take back the region as its own. God knows why the fuck they even tried to do that is anyone's guess. Medvedev called the attack "stupid and boorish".
What exactly did Georgia EXPECT? Did they really expect that Russia wouldn't retaliate and move to protect the region? Did they think they would be able to "take the region back" without any peep from Russia?
Jesus... I mean, the retardation of Georgia is totally overwhelming, and I fail to see how a moron like Saakashvili is running the country! Look how unstable and sporadic his actions are...and you wonder why Russia has peacekeeping forces there.
I just think it's fucked up how everybody shits on Russia for defending its own territories.
