Now that Jay-Z has left Def Jam, the former label he was signed to and then in charge of has decided to milk his name for all it is worth by releasing The Blueprint Collector’s Edition consisting of Hov’s The Blueprint and The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse. You may think I am being a bit harsh but read on.
The Collector’s Edition will be packaged with a poster, and get this, the double CD package will even feature a space to put a third CD. So yes, once The Blueprint 3 comes out on Jay-Z’s new label Roc Nation (through Atlantic), Def Jam wants you to house it inside their The Blueprint Collector’s Edition case.
Not only that, but the Collector’s Edition will come out September 8th, three days before The Blueprint 3 arrives on September 11th.
That’s cold.

Actually, I think it’s pretty fair. Jay-Z was paid alot of money by these people and to think that they can’t recoup the exorbitant cost of having Jay on their payroll is kinda insulting to them, as if Jay was gracing them with his mere presence. And it’s not like he needs his money so bad… Unless Beyonce needs more diamonds…
