I can’t remember the last time someone’s label signing was so discussed or anticipated. There were rumors floating around that Drake would sign to Lil Wayne’s Young Money way back when he was doing mixtapes with Weezy, but both camps denied it. Looking back on it it was probably a way to keep the speculation and hype going.
But today it was officially announced that Drake had signed the deal with Young Money/Cash Money and that his project would also be distributed by Universal.
Check out a video announcement after the jump with the likes of Bun B, Green Lantern, Talib Kweli, Irv Gotti and Trey Songz talking about Drake.

Last week rapper Tru Life, his brother, and two other associates were arrested for the murder of an 18 year old man and the stabbing of Jason Black, who was in critical condition.
The violence apparently stemmed from an altercation between Tru’s crew and a rival crew at Pacha Nightclub. A man named Michael Slater was shot outside of the nightclub at 4am and taken to Bellevue Hospital in a stable condition. The two victims were Slater’s associates and were allegedly ambushed on their way home from visiting him in the hospital at about 9.30am.
Tru Life is being held at Rikers Island.

With the tragic news of his passing, Michael Jackson’s fans are rushing to buy his music and possibly reconnect with something they haven’t listened to in a few years.
According to reports, the demand is so great it is leaving retailers out of stock and rushing to fill backorders.
Best Buy has confirmed that most of it’s stores, if not all by now, have totally sold out of Jackson’s albums, and Amazon.com was completely out of stock of Jackson and Jackson 5 albums.
As a result Michael Jackson has filled every slot of the Top 10 Best Selling albums on Amazon.com, and I’d expect a huge impact on next week’s Billboard charts too.
Bill Carr, vice president of music and video at Amazon says, “This is simply unprecedented.”
“We’ve seen the death of Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra and many other artists, but none of them compare to what we’re witnessing today,” Carr added.
“In the last 24 hours, we’ve actually sold more Michael Jackson albums in our MP3 and CD stores than we have in the 11 years since the launch of our music business,” Carr said.
With such a rush, fans can expect posthumous albums to be released soon to take advantage of the momentum, and to exploit pay tribute to Michael Jackson’s legacy.
We’re not a gaming site, but damn Project Natal looks amazing. I can’t wait to see them link it up with sports and fighting games.
Here The Game checks out a ball game and a driving game. For those of you that don’t know what it is, it allows you to use your whole body to control the game, without needing to hold anything. So if you kick your character kicks, you punch, your character punches.
I’ve posted a Project Natal tech demo after the jump…

It seems like I’ve been posting about this all year (I’d link to them all but we haven’t copied over the old content yet, too busy with the new shit), when the hell is it coming out?
