As many of you are aware, StreetHop.com itself originally stemmed from a Tupac Shakur community so it has become a tradition during his birthdays and anniversaries to reflect on not only Tupac, but the void he left in Hip-Hop.

‘Pac would have turned 38 today.

It is hard to think about everything he could have achieved had he not been killed at 25. Especially in today’s Hip-Hop, when the likes of Jay-Z, who is almost two years older than Tupac would have been today, still dictate and influence trends in the culture and in music industry perhaps more so than ever.

I have no doubt in my mind, that Tupac Amaru Shakur, as influential, intelligent and outspoken as he was, would have lead many revolutions, small and large, and celebrated today, his birthday, as one of the most important people in music, Hip-Hop and even the world.

Instead, we do it for him.
